VICODEC
In an attempt to touch lives beyond our borders, the U.S. Oil/Schmidt Family Foundation , supports a partnership with Victory Community Development Center (VICODEC), a community center located between Kware and Gataka slums in Ongata-Rongai, Kenya. VICODEC provides local children from these slums with an education, nutrition, and medical care to help them grow and succeed in spite of horrific living conditions.
You can join us in helping the children of Kenya through an individual child sponsorship.
Child sponsorship typically covers:
- School uniforms, fees, books, and tuition
- Feeding program (often a child's only reliable daily meal)
- Basic healthcare at the clinic for the child and his or her family
- Guardian resource assistance
With VICODEC's assistance, the benefits of your sponsorship will follow the child as they move through the African School System - directly impacting the lives of the child’s family members and aiding a community where poverty is so prevalent and the needs are so great.
If you're interested in child sponsorship, please view bios of children who are currently hoping for sponsors. If you're interested, you can fill out the online sponsorship form or print a sponsorship form and mail it, along with a check, to:
