U.S. Oil Co., Inc., based in Combined Locks, WI has confirmed its recent acquisition of BP’s refined products terminal in Cheboygan, Michigan. The Cheboygan facility serves much of Northern Michigan and parts of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with a storage capacity of 164,000 barrels.
“This facility is an excellent addition to our business because of its strategic fit and alignment with our planned growth areas,” according to John Schmidt, President and C.E.O of U.S. Oil.
U.S. Oil, family owned and operated, is a leading distributor of petroleum and renewable products, providing innovative solutions and services to its energy customers. With the Cheboygan purchase, the company operates 12 refined products terminals in the Midwest with an aggregate storage capacity of over 3.2 million barrels. U.S. Oil made recent headlines when they were announced as one of the stalking horse bidders on the SemFuel assets.
