To move more than 2 billion gallons of fuel a year, U.S. Oil utilizes numerous modes of transportation. As a trading group, pipeline shipper and terminal operator, we can actively market out of nearly 200 terminals across the United States.
Pipeline logistics account for more than 28 million barrels/year
U.S. Oil ships 28.5 million barrels of refined products a year spanning more than 20,000 miles through the West Shore, Badger, Wolverine, Buckeye, Colonial, Explorer, Magellan, Plantation and Longhorn pipelines.
International rail connectivity
U.S. Oil utilizes rail as a transportation mode, with one million barrels moved by train annually. With capacity on the CN, UP, CP, and WSOR lines, U.S. Oil has international rail connectivity and rail-capable siding at our terminals in Madison, Green Bay and Milwaukee.
American-flagged vessel on the Great Lakes
U.S. Oil’s owned light oil barges operates on the Great Lakes and has international shipping capabilities. The "Great Lakes" is a 70,000 barrel U.S. Flag clean petroleum products light oil barge that transports 2.2 million barrels of oil a year to liquid cargo docks in the U.S. and Canada. The second owned barge has transported nearly 40 million gallons of petroleum products across the Great Lakes. The tug is named Albert and the barge is named Margaret after parents of our U.S. Oil founders.
