When an associate is hired, it is expected that he or she will be in good health and able to work continuously. Conditions do arise whereby an associate cannot work for a temporary period of time. Accordingly, we have provided several alternatives for allowing absences, including paid absences (for Vacation, Holidays, Personal Days, Funeral Leave, and Jury Duty), and unpaid absences (for personal leave, Family & Medical Leave, and Military Leave) that permit associates to leave work and return in an orderly manner. Associates must communicate with their managers/supervisors regarding any leave. If an Associate does not call or show up for scheduled work for three consecutive days, it will be considered a voluntary resignation.
