Flex Time - Job Sharing

The company encourages creativity and flexibility in staffing and scheduling.  This is done in order to successfully recruit and retain qualified associates who may not be able to work traditional hours and schedules.

 

The following are examples that have proven successful in several situations.

 

FLEX TIME: Flextime allows the associates to complete their work on a schedule different from the standard Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

 

An example of Flex Time has an associate working four (4) ten (10) hour days on Monday through Thursday, Tuesday through Friday or some other combination totaling forty (40) hours.

 

Another example of Flextime provides different or staggered starting and ending times for the workday - 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

 

JOB SHARING: Generally, two (2) part-time associates share the responsibilities and duties of one (1) job.

 

Scheduling is shared by days (M-W-F and T-Th) or split shifts (AM's and PM's) or both (M - T AM - W AM - Th AM and T PM - W PM - Th PM - F)

 

Attention must be given to a clear delineation of duties and appropriate opportunity for communication between associates who share a position and their manager.

 

Any arrangement involving Flextime or Job Sharing is determined by the need of the company and the department and not the convenience of the associate.  However, associates are encouraged to suggest workable options.

 

All arrangements involving Flextime and Job Sharing must be approved by the Department Manager and the Vice President of Human Resources and Legal Services prior to implementation.
