Jury Duty Pay

The company recognizes the civic and legal duty to serve on a jury when summoned and, therefore, has created a policy to protect the income of an associate called to serve.

ELIGIBILITY: Regular full-time and part-time associates.

EFFECTIVE DATE: After thirty-one (31) days of employment.

COST: The Company covers Jury duty pay.

An eligible associate required to serve on a jury will be paid the difference between the associate's regular pay and the juror's fees an associate receives. Proof of the amount of juror's fees received must be turned in to Payroll Services before supplemental payment will be made. Time off with jury duty pay is not counted towards work time.

If the associate is excused from jury duty early or for part of the normal assignment, an associate shall report to work or forfeit pay for that day.

TERMINATION: Jury duty pay will not be paid to an associate who terminates employment prior to returning to work.

NOTE: No allowance of pay will be made if the associate is summoned to court as a result of an alleged infraction of the law on his or her part.  Likewise, if an associate is called to testify in a matter not related to company business, no allowance of pay will be made.
